Litchfield Learner Employee Mini-grants

Mini-grants are open to all employees of LESD. Each mini-grant is not to exceed $1000, with the goal of providing up to $20,000 in mini-grants each year.  The application window for mini-grants will be open the first month of each fall and spring semester.  In alignment with the Litchfield Learner initiative, qualified applicants are required to explain in detail the purpose, process and budget required for their project and/or program.

Examples of such projects could include but are not limited to purchasing materials to support grade-level standards (educational), bringing in guest speakers for assemblies (social), or going on field trips for classes or extra-curricular groups (economic).

The LESDEF board will review the applications and award as many grants as possible based on alignment and budget restrictions.  Recipients will be required to sign a contract that guarantees all money is used as outlined in the mini-grant application along with providing documentation/receipts at the conclusion of the program/project.

To help meet the educational, social and economic needs of current LESD students, the Foundation will be providing mini-grants to LESD employees for programs and/or projects that have a direct impact on their students’ experiences.

Litchfield Learner Alumni Student Scholarships

To help meet the educational, social and economic needs of past LESD students, the Foundation will be providing scholarships to alumni of the Litchfield Elementary School District.

Any Arizona class of 2025 graduating high school senior that promoted from 8th grade from any LESD school is eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Scholarships will be made available in $1000 increments.

The LESDEF board will review the applications, and the number of $1,000 scholarship recipients will be determined on alignment and budget restrictions. Award recipients would be recognized as part of the Pride Awards at the end of the school year.

The applicants are required to explain how their educational career at LESD impacted them, share any accolades and accomplishments achieved throughout their high school career, and inform how the scholarship would be used in their post high school plans (college, trade school, etc.). The application window will be open during the spring semester and due the first week in April.
