Litchfield Elementary School District

Educational Foundation

The Litchfield Elementary School District Educational Foundation (LESDEF) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the teachers, staff, and students in the "A" rated Litchfield Elementary School District. Recognition of teacher and staff excellence is LESDEF'S  primary objective, in addition to supporting innovation and offering scholarships.

In 2017, LESDEF launched an ambitious campaign to create an endowed fund.  Through its Centennial Brick campaign, LESDEF raised over $156,000.

One of the ways that LESDEF recognizes excellent staff and teachers is through the presentation of PRIDE Awards.  Each year, the teachers and staff at each LESD school choose one teacher and one staff member to receive an award.  Last year, as a result of the generosity or our donors, LESDEF was able to increase the number of PRIDE Awards presented.   Click on the page above to see the 2018 PRIDE Award Winners!

Although we have made significant progress, we aren't done yet!  LESDEF is working to expand our ability to support LESD teachers, staff, and students.  Please check back frequently for ways that you can help.

On April 16, 2020 LESDEF is hosting a fundraiser filled with  friendship, food, drinks, and entertainment at Topgolf.  Contact us for ways to sponsor and/or attend the event.  Invitations will be out soon to our past donors and supporters.  New supporters welcome!
